I'm just not a hot weather person. That's the second biggest drawback to roller hockey. The biggest is that some people don't bother learning how to play, and they complain if you poke-check the puck away.

I like summer time freedom, but I actually prefer the cold most of the time. Probably b/c after 16 years of going to ice rinks, it's second nature.

lol, skates are indeed helpful! I belong on the ice, with the stripes (Or, to some, a bullseye), but on the bench, too. I like coaching kids because I had lousy coaching myself. I like to make sure they get a good introduction to the game^^ I still play roller hockey, though. It's not as much fun as ice, I don't like the heat.

When I played in school, the target seemed to be me. Which then caused me to pick out the guy that did it and top his shot by putting it in the net, then putting HIM into the net.

It's weird. My parents never played, and only my Mom skated. I'm going to guess she wanted me in figure skating, and Dad said "No chance in hell". That sounds about right.
