I dont get many comments on my Harry Potter stuff, so I was glad to hear it. ^-^ So, if you're new, I'd like to welcome you,and hope you like it here. Thank you for commenting on my piccy "Asuka". ^__^ SoulTaker is a 13-episode anime about 17 year old Kyosuke Date who has the unwanted ability to transform into a devil-like creature. Because of this he is wanted by two powerful organizations - The Kirihara and The Hospital. The Kirihara want to use him to find his sister Runa who has the same ability as him. The Hospital want to kill him because the birth of him and his sister caused the deaths of many mutants the Hospital is trying to save.

It's a very twisting plot as Kyosuke encounters another group of people called "Flickers". They're fragments of Runa's heart and soul and were created as spares so Runa can escape the two organizations. Asuka is one of these Flickers and even though she only appears in one episode, she has the best character. So Kyosuke must rescue his sister and save the Flickers as well as himself.

Asuka was all alone in the world, not knowing what she was, until a nun told her that she was a Flicker. That nun was the only mother figure she ever had and now that person is dead. It was never said but there is a ton of evidence that points that Asuka's motherly figure was Kyosuke's mom who was murdered by the Kirihara group. Even Asuka tells Kyosuke that she wants revenge for what happened to his mother.

Again it is a very complicated plot because it is hard to say who is working for who and what their motives are. But one you get down to it, it is a great, underappreciated anime.
