yeah, i don't think a lot of characters could relate to that song. Unless you wanted to make a generic amv in which the lyrics don't ralate to the pictures/clips in any way imaginable.

Well... it depends on whether you did a decent job or not... Look at some of RiptideX's videos. As long as your vid doesnt include A, B or D, it's considered ok.
