A poem (and tale) of the fallen (plant leaves).
Time for the annual poetry challenge. :) Let's see if I last the whole month.
This was my first NANOWRIMO - an attempt to write novel draft in  a month. It is rough in many ways, and I'm not sure I knew where I was going, but I still remember it fondly and would like to overhaul it someday. The idea began in my mind with images of a smoke-colored cat in rust-red autumn leaves, a snow white cat curled around a heart of shining cut glass in a palace tower, and the empty-eyed queen to whom the heart belonged...
Written for Jadis' prompt on the forum's Poetry Tag game. I liked how this one came out, and thought I would post it here, too.

Thanks to Saltwater, a good friend of mine, for suggesting the above poem title. I added the "Coffee" in because it needed the word coffee. I usually hint to the readers what I'm going to write about. Yep.

After playing an hour+ of Plants vs. Zombies, I took a break and began 'attempting' to write out a decent poem, knowing that one way or the other, it'll spoil and turn out to be really 'ugly'. The title, as you can read, was inspired by the graves that popped up in several levels of PvZ.

Note that this poem wasn't intentionally written due to the horror holiday comin' up around the corner.

I recently participated in a workshop at my school which dealt with Ekphrasis, or poetry inspired by art objects. This was one of my submissions. It is Interrogative Ekphrasis, inspired by Breugel's painting of the fall of Icarus.
Telling of an experience of relaxing outside on a cool Summer day. (Note: this passage will/may be altered over time). (More experiences may or may not be add; for the time being this shall be labeled 'complete', unless said other wise). Enjoy.
