Trying to decide whether or not I can take this special Japanese language test in December or not. I can't really practice conversation very much, and I'm not sure my vocabulary is large enough. But I understand manners of speech, and my writing and reading abilities are fairly good. If I pass this, I can put it on a resume at least. That might be helpful.

Me/Kahless- awesome guy! Emailed him a few times now. Me/Vorik- he was spending 5+ minutes with each fan. Cool guy. Borg- won the contest. 1000 bucks. Probably cost five times that to make the costume. Likely single, and top sorcerer in dungeons and dragons.

Well, I was thinking of a scene wear the Borg invade Ops, and Sisko flashes back to the destruction at Wolf 359. He sees the crew fighting their individual battles, but he can't move. He doesn't realize that all the surivors of Wolf 359, save for those aboard the Enterprise, who came in contact with the Borg cube have been altered. Their resistance to Borg presence has been lessened. A sort of EMP field paralyzes them, leaving them easier to assimilate so that the Borg can collect more data about their defeat.

I was thinking of how cool it would if, after Amy threw Holmes through Bashir's diagnostic table, Odo came in and she could rip him completely in half. That would just make for an awesome scene imho.

I admit, part of me wants to have this be the time Holmes and Dax get closer simply because he can help somehow. Nothing like a disaster to bring people together, right? But it doesn't fit really. More like Dax and Chief O'Brien are doing the science end of things, while Kira is running the show while Odo handles station security. So I think, after he's healed, I'll have Holmes in a runabout, physically distracting the Borg as much as possible.

Maybe Jadzia is helping Julian come up with a counteractive for the nanos in her blood, and Dan is hovering, super-concerned, and blah blah etc etc. ?

And from there he gets thrown? I like it. How about something like:

Amy sat up suddenly. Julian and Dax breathed a sigh of relief. Until her head swiveled, machine-like. Both of them backed up, attempting to reset the forcefield that had held Amy until then.

Holmes dove on Amy, trying to hold her down. Nonplusses, Amy seized Holmes by the neck and, after a tense momement, heaved him across the room. He struck a diagnostic console with sickening force chest-first before crumpling to the ground. The console shot angry red sparks as Dax seized Holmes under the arms and dragged him away from the console while Bashir finally got a level-10 forcefield to contain Amy.

Amy reached a hand out to touch her prison. The forcefield buzzed angrily at her touch, but she kept pressing until Bashir pumped a gasseous sedative into the contained area.

No I was thinking more like, Jadzia is impressed by Dan's concern for someone he barely knows, or something along those lines. :P

Bashir squeezed Holmes' ribs a little bit too tight at that moment. The two men looked each other in the eyes, an uspoken rivalry between them budding rapidly.

"Sweet. Right," Holmes murmured, though his cheeks had gone a little pink from Dax's compliment. "Did the DNA you plucked off of me after she threw me help at all?"

Bashir backed off of his grudge for a moment, answering happily. "Yes. We can develop the nanites we need in under an hour with this. Provided we can keep them out of sickbay for that long."

"Provided the station will still be here," Holmes noted.

Perfect. xD I'm starting to think you should write my part of the story. At least then we'd get something accomplished! xDD

Oh, before I forget (and I will get them up soon!), at the ST convention I lost my head and girl watched a bit. A tantalizing Andorian female here, a couple pretty Trills there. The crowning two, I think, were to Seven look alikes. One in a silver jumpsuit, one in a purple one. I saw 'Silver' first. Wanted a picture. a GIANT Andorian gets in the picture with her. Only now I notice they've been together for a while. Damn. I hate that guy, even though he was very polite.

Then there was 'Purple Seven'. I only saw her once, sadly. She demanded- quite literally- that I get in the picture with her, stating that my 'objections are irrelevant- you will comply'. Hot AND domineering.
Then I didn't see her again the rest of the convention, and she was in a hurry before.
