Okay, I will. I got hugged by Terry Ferrel. She remembered it was my birthday all three times I saw her. She went out of her way to personalize my autograph, completely ignoring the objections that the people putting on the convention were giving. She was sweet as all get-out, and she sat next to me at the Deep Space Nine breakfast.
The girl next to me (before Terry sat down) is going to be on William Shatner's new documentary, 'Fan-atics', and insisted Terry sit next to me.
I was also hugged by Chase Masterson (Leeta, the dabo girl/Rom's girlfriend), who was also incredibly sweet.
I went to get tickets to get Kate Mulgrew's autograph, and I walked away with William Shatner AND Sir Patrick F'ing Stewart tickets, too, which had been sold out for months!
I met Vorik, who was talking with fans for 5-10 minutes each, I met the original Emporer Kahless, who couldn't do enough for me. I was assimilated by two borg girls, the proud owner of an Orion slave girl, and was blessed by THE best Kai Winn look-alike I've ever seen. I met a Commander Sisko lookalike, and talked him into posing with me like he was address a junior officer (me). I met a Captain Rachel Garrett, saw Garrett Wang, Ethan Phillips, and Leanord Nimoy.
Just...wow. I hate real life now. I swear, I haven't been so blissful in years. It was like...well, a collective, I guess.
No, I did not get any action, as every damned Trill or Borg girl was married or had a boyfriend (including one big f'ing Andorian that I did NOT want to piss off).

I...well, I managed to not say anything stupid. Hardly managed to say anything at all. She really is like Dax in person. The same manner of speech, and the sort of casual air. Just very approachable. unless you're frightened of girls. In my case, I managed a goofy smile (which did not leave my face for days. Still hasn't, actually) and we exchanged a few words. When I get the pictures up, you'll see exactly what I mean. We were both in the middle of a laugh when the photographer snapped our picture, so we've both got these odd, goofy smiles.

Hmm, it might just do that. lol. But if I get running, I'm hard to catch, so just bear that in mind. You might have to surprise me altogether.

Right now, I am battling GIMP. I hate this stupid program. I damn it to hell! It won't do what I want, and it's really pissing me off! I'm trying to cut the background out of a picture with the scissor tool (I want to see how I'd look as a security officer on the bridge of the Defiant), and it won't let me crop my selection. Damn it to hell!

Okay. This is what I was thinking:

Once we finish 'Carpe Diem', let's jump to the Trill episode, where Holmes takes in an injured Trill. This will give Holmes a chance to define himself and form a connection with Dax, as well as Amy. Amy and Bashir will need to do the surgery, and we'll make a big fuss about how complex and risky it is. After that, Amy can be assigned to monitor Holmes' behavior.

Following that, we skip to an Amy dominated episode, since Holmes is pretty much defined for the time being. I was thinking about a massive medical emergency happening, where Bashir is, by the chain of command, in charge of the entire station, leaving Amy to handle the majority of the medical work.

Anything to add/subtract? Any objections? These are just some rough ideas for now. If you've got any details you'd like to add, just say so. Or if you hate the scenario, that's fine, too.

Oh, I came up with a new ST storyline for us. O'Brien, Amy and Holmes are checking out the lower levels of DS9, and they're ambushed by a Cardassian who has been hiding down there. He's been there so long he doesn't know that the occupation of Bajor has ended. He holds Holmes and O'Brien hostage, along with a couple unfortunate security officers that come to help.

That kinda sounds awesome!

Julian: (nods, trying not to laugh)

Holmes: (Through the door) I look like an idiot when I'm not in uniform! (Grumbles, but throws on black dress pants, a white undershirt, and a black longsleeve shirt. He's got on some sort of chain around his neck. Steps back out)

I'm keeping the shoes. So...better?

Amy: (cheeky tone) You look like an idiot no matter what you wear, Dan. (reaches up and takes the chain from around his neck, then steps back to look at him thoughtfully) That's a lot of black...

Holmes: If I look like an idiot regardless, let me look like a comfortable idiot and put my uniform back on! And what's wrong with black? Am I supposed to wear something that brings out her eyes or something?

Amy: (playful shove) Oh, come on. You look nice. And black... it's... it washes you out.

Amy: Well, I was thinking... Well, first, no black. Nice slacks that don't scream "prom," or "business meeting." A dressy shirt, maybe dark colours? Nothing too dark. Shoes... Well, I think Dan's trustworthy enough in THAT department.

Garak: Alright...let me see here...(measuring Holmes) I think maybe a light blue shirt...yes, with a collar...that'll bring out her eyes.

Playing ffx again! I'm getting frustrated. There's this minigame where you have to collect 7 blue butterflies within 30 seconds. There are red ones too, and if you touch a red one you're called into a battle. Which wastes some of your countdown. I always hit ONE red butterfly, and I allllmost get the last blue one, but then the clock runs out.

Oh, that sucks. I hate that sort of thing. I have a similar problem in a different game. I haven't picked up the game in, like, two years because of it. It's not that it's hard, it's just really annoying.
