I hate to say it, but I have made the inevitable jump over to DeviantART. I will still update here, but quite frankly ... no one on this site cares about art anymore; they just consider it a more private version of myspace, a place to chat with their friends. All the artists I liked have moved on, something that started when the site ceased to be pretty and blue. Quite simply, I feel like the site isn't what it once was. I'll come back when the members of fac start caring more about art and less about their own popularity.

silverfoxOKAY QUERIES YAY.

Okay. And also we ended up not making it to see the fireworks, because we were up in Washington at Cris's friend's house playing croquet. I know, playing a British game on Independence Day is kind of backwards, but we made up for it by attempting to throw teabags in Patrick's hot tub... Exccept he caught us first so we couldn't. D: But since it was Washington we had huge fireworks. And fireworks that were illegal even in Washington because they were Indian fireworks, which are enourmous. Like, practically professional. Except I went to light one, and Pat (Patrick - we call him Pat) didn't know that it was my first time lighting off a huge firework, and so he's like, "Put it in the tube and light it, then run away before the fuse burns out," and I'm like, 'Tube?...' in my head, because I didn't know what he meant by that, so I sort of just set it on the ground and lit it, then ran off, and the next thing I know it explodes. Right on the ground. It was really loud, it was really bright, and it was really cool. Except after that I was cut off. Everyone got quite a kick out of it, though. I was called the entertainment for the night.

Anyway. QUERIES I'S EXCITED YES.

Tea or coffee?
He prefers coffee, with cream. No sugar. But he does like tea, just sweet. He's kind of weird like that.
favourite subject in school?
Foreign language. I could also see him being a Drama kid since he's a bit of a weirdy.
Thoughts on poaching?
Bad! Except he likes his eggs poached.
If he were to dye his hair, what colour?
He'd try black, just to see what it looked like. Or perhaps a vivid red, like Beatrix's, again just to see what it looks like.
Colour contacts?
Yellow or red, something cool and unusual like that. Maybe violet.
What does he think will happen to him in the future?
He's not really one to look to far into the future. He could see himself having beautiful babies (that's what he could call them) with Beatrix, though. He'd be a good dad, I think.
If he were dropped on a desert island with everything necesary to survival, and could chuse one non-crucial-to-survival item to bring with him, what would he bring?
Probably books, to pass the time. Or Beatrix. Although he could argue that she was crucial to his survival...
Favourite mythological creature?
Gryffin or pheonix. Or sphinx. Dragon? Dangerous ones, at any rate.
Least favourite?
Something stupid like a flobberworm. (shaddup. it so counts as a mythological creature.)
If any, what wildlife does he like to observe?
Big, dangerous animals. Like lions. Or tigers. OR BEARS OH MY. He also likes squirrels.
Favourite place he's travelled?
He would love Venice, so let's go with Venice.
Knowing what YOU currently know about the following persons, how would he first react were he to run into ...

Shadow?
He'd probably like him, although he'd be afraid he'd step on him.
the Phantom?
He might like him. He'd be curious to see why everyone seems to be in love with him, though.
Shruikan?
I think it's well-known that August and Shruikan would get along splendidly. They'd go shirtless, go drinking, and generally be stupid together.
Astarael?
August would like him, because Astarael is calmer and more subdued that most of the people August is with. Which would be a nice change of pace.
Psyn?
He would probably get slightly annoying with Psyn after a while.
Teacup?
He'd have some pity for her, actually. If he found out why she was so emo, at least.
Mr Strange?
Oh, he'd like Mr Strange. They're kind of similar in some respects.
Corryn? (have you met Corryn yet?)
Haven't met Corryn yet. D:
Sirius Black?
If they were teenagers together they'd probably be best friends. Even as adults they'd get along very well.
Dumbleydore?
August would be blinded by his admiration. (He really, really likes Dumbledore.)
a dementor?
Hmm... Well, no one would enjoy running into a dementor. He'd probably see the time when Gwen was nearly killed in front of him, and all the times he was nearly killed. (not that he's afraid of death, mind you, because it's hard to be a warrior if you are; rather, he was afraid of dying and leaving Gwen alone, because he's a thoughtful elder brother.)
Edaniel?
He'd like Edaniel, although he might be a little bemused by the fact that Edaniel jumped from woman to woman so readily.
Vinculus?
He'd find Vinculus quite amusing.
Childermass?
He'd definitely like knowing Childermass. (HOMEBOY IS A ROCKSTAR)
the gentleman with the thistle-down hair?
He would not want to be admired by him, but he could get along with him.
Ary?
August is a very patient person, so it would be hard for him to outright dislike someone, but he'd be a bit annoyed with her too, for not just facing her problems and instead putting them off.
Hitler?
Since August is, of course, fluent in German, they could have some interesting conversations. He'd be repelled by Hitler's ultimate goal, but fascinated at the same time by his ability to make people think it was a good idea so easily.
Norrington?
Heehee. He'd like Norrington. He'd like him best when he was drunk.
Bucket?
He would enjoy how short he is. And all of his little models of ships and people. He would have endless fun crashing them into each other.
Jack Sparrow?
I imagine they'd be good friends. They're both kind of weird, both enjoy getting drunk (although August has to drink a lot before he's drunk [damn high alcohol tolerance]), and they both enjoy being on ships. (August was a captain of a ship for a short while when he was in the south. LITTLE-KNOWN FACT OMG)
Norrell?
He would behave much like Strange: he'd be patient with him, but he'd grow annoyed after a while because of Norrell's habits and mannerisms.
the Raven King?
Don't know a lot about him yet, but I can't see August not liking him, because the Raven King is awesome.
the queen of England?
He would like her because she's a cute little old lady. He would also like her grandsons, because Harry and William are cool. (and hot but I DIDN'T SAY THAT) He'd like Harry a bit more, though, since Harry's the adventurous one.
Voldemort?
Who would honestly like Voldemort? Though he would be somehow reminded of Hitler, though to a lesser degree...
Rufus Scrimgeour? (i think you spelt it right...)
He'd probably be a bit bemused by his uptight nature.
Cornelius Fudge?
Okay, he would outright dislike Fudge, because Fudge is an idiot.
Ichigo?
He would definitely like Ichigo.
Matsumoto?
Hehehe... He and she would get along quite well. Although he'd be a bit distracted if they ever had a serious conversation.
Orihime?
He's got a crush on Orihime. So yes. He would certainly like her.
Ukitake?
Who doesn't like Ukitake? HE'S SO AWESOME.
Aizen?
He'd probably like the pre-asshole Aizen. But he'd really dislike the current Aizen. Jerk.
Ulquiorra?
Ulquiorra's a bit weird. August would like his face markings, though. Those are cool.
Kitsune?
He'd be a bit intimidated, mostly because he honestly doesn't know how to react to people like her.
Edward Elric?
He'd like him, although he's not sure Edward would like him, considering August's lofty height.
Edward Cullen?
They would certainly get along, I would imagine.
Carlisle Cullen?
He and Carlisle are actually a lot alike. So, I could see them buddying up.

It gets hard to use more creative language after a while. xD; OKAY NOW FOR ME DO THIS, except substitute Shadow, Phantom, Shruikan, and Astarael (and anyone else of your characters, if you felt so obliged) for August, Gwen, Crimson/Lucifer, and Beatrix. I would say Quinn, except I don't think you know a whole lot about him, so that makes it difficult.

Yep. Imma go take a shower now. And also, I don't think I was on at all yesterday except for three in the morning, so that's why I didn't respond earlier. As in, my computer wasn't even on. So yeah.

tsutanai_vigakuHey, thanks for the comments! I'm glad you like my Akito pictures, especially the hand-coloured one. I agree that there's too much CG work out there, moreso recently.

silverfoxOkay. This is how much of a nerd I am. DD: It's really upsetting. Tonight at dinner, my dad was like, "Hey, did you hear what happened in England? They outlawed smoking in bars and restaurants." And what's the first thought that pops into my head? 'Good. I don't want August to get lung cancer.'

DDDDDDDDDD:

He's too real in my head.

But anyway. I have a collection of names for my characters that I haven't introduced yet. I won't tell you them yet, because I need to draw out their character profiles first. They won't be like August's, mind you. They'll most likely be little scribbles with their names scrawled next to them. Because I'm lame. But I have a hard time finalising a character without their name, so I'm glad I finally have their names... Anyway. Rambling.

Um. I need to go to bed now. I'm tired. And I have to get up early-ish tomorrow so that I can go to my mother's house or something. Because it's Independence Day and there will be fireworks tonight at waterfront. Which is exciting. Because I like flashy things that explode.

silverfoxNo, no, I want Mr Corvus's face on my ceiling. That way I can lie in bed and look at it much more easily.

I've still got to clear out the space in my closet for Shadow's Shrine. It will be beautiful, and I will take a picture and put it on DA. And it will rock. Yes.

silverfoxIn Strange & Norrell, I'm where Strange in still in Portugal. And right now they're looking for the Neopolitans. I AM STILL SO FAR BEHIND. DDD:

The comic thing kind of came to a stand-still. I think I will work on it tonight. If anything, just sketching out the pages. I'll work on fine-tuning them later. But urghhh the pages are so big that I'm drawing on... It's hard to draw on them mostly because of their size. I'm forced to do detail, which takes a long time, which takes up my drawing stamina, and since I'm forcing myself not to do detail so that I can draw longer, it's a big mental barrier and it's really annoying me. D<

silverfoxCrimson is ambidextrous and will use anything sharp and/or heavy as a weapon. However, he prefers a sword above anything else. A really, really sharp sword. He likes hand-held weapons because he can feel the resistance from it when he, say, beheads someone or chops off a limb. (Crimson is a very violent person.) Lucifer is left-handed, and isn't really a fighter by nature, but he does have a vicious streak that comes out when he's pissed. He likes bows (almost typed 'boys'), because he dislikes getting his hands dirty. He's not to be mistaken for a pansy, however, since his skill with a bow/gun/anything that aims is quite intimidating. In fact, the only reason he dislikes fighting is because he's incredibly vain. He doesn't want blood spatters on his coat.

Yay. I have one bloodthirsty character, and one who's obsessed with his looks.

:D

silverfoxI OFFICIALLY HAVE POSTED ALL MY ARTS

BE HAPPY

okay.

I am currently enjoying my nightly bowl of Eggo cereal. I love this cereal. It's so freaking delicious. You have no idea.

I'm in a bit of trouble, because last night I was tired at one-thirty in the morning. I'm kind of tired right now. This is bad. At this rate I'll hardly make it to the release, not to mention staying up all night reading it... This could be bad. Damn beach trip. It got my schedule all wrong.

silverfoxI know. KT Tunstall is teh shootz.

I know I need to update. D: Although now I'm curious as to what you'd say. And I kind of almost don't want to update so that you will and I can read what you'd write. xDD Except don't worry. I will. Sometime tonight. Hopefully.

And I'm bored. But I got a picture of three of the hot guys on the trip. They are hot. In order from left to right, they are Dan, Sebastian, and Tim. It was really hard to fit all of us in the frame, as you may be able to tell.

Then, just as an extra, Manda, Andrea and Dan.

silverfoxOkay, on my YouTube, the videos Extreme Ball Riding and Green Eyed (which should be hyphenated, but I will let it slide) are by my friend Brennan, and I know the people in it. I don't know why that's important for me to say but for some reason in my head it is. Or rather, I just thought I'd explain it since they're kind of random.

The word 'mortgage' makes me laugh. Mort means death. Are they gaging death? Although gaging isn't techically a word, I think. The real word would be gauge. But whatever. The notion is humourous.

I swear. People on the message boards on the HP website are stupid. Someone was all excited thinking that they were the first to entertain the notion of Petunia being a squib. Then I come in and I say that Jo already shot down that rumour, insinuating that if they weren't such an idiot and had read through her website even a little, or paid attention to anything at all, that they would have known that. Because I'm feeling dogy today and it gives me pleasure to feel superior, because I have a massive superiority complex. But yes. And the boards are full of people who've read the books maybe once through, and then insist they know what they're talking about when they give skewed opinions on what's happening. And so I feel like it's my duty to set people straight. As I said, superiority complex.

And now I'm going to go belittle some more idiots. Yay.

silverfox"It's just an expression" comes from the fourth book, when Ron says, "I've been working like a house elf!" and Hermione glares at him reproachfully or something, so Ron says, "It's just an expression" to appease her. But for the life of me, I cannot remember where the one comes from that goes, "No one seemed to realise that Harry was dying." I cannot remember where that's from. And it's probably really obvious. Funny how I can remember the really obscure one but I can't remember the obvious one.

I reread them in like April. xDD But yeah. We should at least reread the important parts. Except I haven't been able to find my book 5 in forever, so I could have a problem with that...
