I was curious about something- when you picture Yuji, do you picture him with a weapon?

Updated! And every now and then. I tend to picture him with the kind of weapon Sasuke has in part II. Not sure why.

I usually have him unarmed because of his tendency to avoid killing. But I've been toying with what kind of weapon to give him lately. I gave him dual kodachi (Between the trench coat, the bad attitude, and the kodachi, he wound up a lot like Aoshi Shinomori of Rurouni Kenshin fame), but I'm not quite sure that's his official thing. I gave him a regualar staff, but do you think that's too plain?

Nah, not "too plain." In fact, I think it suits his personality. And I'm excited to start drawing Yuji's Valentine's Day present. You'll love it, I'm sure!

I really wanted him to have a dual something as tribute to Asuma, but it just wasn't working well. I kept having Yuji put whatever it was down to perform Jutsus, and then he'd just all of a sudden have it back. It made me feel like a sloppy writer.

I can't wait to see this, then! I have no doubt I'll love it. I've never been disappointed by your work yet.

I had wanted to add more, but I was lazy and wanted to get it up right now, so I just decided to stretch out this one chapter into "Day 1," "Day 2," and "Day 3." It shouldn't take too long.

If I can picture it happening in the anime, then it's usually a good fit for Naruto's world imho.

I do that, too. I used to have to have each update be 2000 words at least, but now I'm more interested in where the plot ends up.

Well, the easiest example is Yuji. His reaction to her, even saying that she doesn't go easy. She tells it like it is without being rude or blunt. That's a hard distinction imho. The ability to lay the cards on the table without batting an eye is really cool. It gives her control over just about any given situation.

No, it helped! And when it comes to Sakura, she can definitely be rude or blunt, but I think that just comes with the best friend territory.

I'm having trouble coming up with an original Ninjutsu for Hisako. I mean, her skills are above par for the average gennin, partly due to her age, and partly due to her every-day training. But I just come up dry when I try to think of anything.

I think you're right. Best Friend priveleges would apply there. She's tactful enough to know how blunt to be, if that makes sense.

Well, what sort of chakra do you think she has? Wind, fire, water, etc?

Eh, I'd probably say water.

Let's see...There's water clones, mist jutsu, and the rest of Zabuza's repertoire. Giving Hisako's personality (what I know, anyway), I would say something straight on and powerful with room for development later. Maybe she could have water cover her fists and add power to her punches. The water could then snare the enemy and add weight to their body until they couldn't move.
Or something where she directs water with her movements, so she attacks with taiujutsu and the water helps her and extenders her range.

Just a couple thoughts there, anyway.

He's about an average height for his age (18). He's rather fair skinned and his body is a bit slender, not bulky or anything.
Oh yeah, Ryofu also has a jacket but is usually wrapped around his waist

He does indeed posses a sword. It's interesting as it is a very curved sword. Ryofu weilds his sword back handedly, so a sword that can curve around his back is what I'm looking for. Think of it as a more curved version of a katana

For some reason, Goths tend to like me. I'm not goth and don't really look it, but for some reason I always wind up friends with them. My Mom did say she'd be a little worried if I brought an 'Abby' home. But, hey, I'm the one who'd have to share a coffin with her, as Abby pointed out to McGee once. lol.

The nastier part is trying to seperate two storylines. The co-op fic and 'Serving', for example. Every once in a while, I slip up and put the wrong storyline in the wrong fic, ruining both -_-'

I haven't run into that problem yet, lol.

I would love to see more of other villages, too. We usually see only Leaf and Sand. I'd like to see a real return to the Land of Waves, for example.

Yeah! Or any of the other big ones. We never really hear about them.

It is SO cold. I live in Texas, so when you have to buy an electric blanket to keep warm at night, you KNOW it's cold. It's like, 20 degrees right now.

I'd also like to see more of Tsunade, come to think. Aside from that episode with the legendary idiot brothers or whatever, we don't see her much.

Same here, pretty much. Although we didn't get a lot of snow, which surprised me.

We got little teeny tiny snowflakes that didn't stick. I was sad. We have an outdoor campus at school, so I've got my winter coat on, all the time. xD

I don't mind the snow and cold so much. Humidity tends to bug me a bit. But I played hockey for years, so that explains that.

In the part of Texas where I live, it's a pretty dry heat. I came from up north, so I used to be used to the cold, but I got acclimated to the warm weather really fast. It doesn't help that I have a naturally low body temperature, so anything below 60 is seriously cold for me.

Ah, I see. That would be troublesome then, I'd imagine. I just like the cold because if you're cold, you can put on more clothes. If it's hot, you can't just take off clothes. Well, okay, you COULD, but you'd probably get arrested or caught on someone's cell phone. lol

Oh, don't get me wrong, I love the cold. I just hate it when I'm cold all the time! And yeah, it would not do to go around streaking.

I don't like it when the cold and wind mix. yuck.

So, if I can ask, what has your favorite part of 'Serving' been? And the co-op fic?

Yes, of course you can! In 'Serving,' I'm not really sure. I really liked that one part where you explained about his "inner self." For the co-op, I'd have to say that any interaction between Azami and Yuji is golden. Um... I like the bits with Yuji and Itachi.

Oh, good. I think you'll like the rest of 'Serving'. I explain his inner-self more, and get into a lot of history and secrets.

Andr28a and I are already planning a sequel to the co-op fic. I've got one in mind for serving, plus that other fic that Hisako will be in. So much fan-fictiony goodness!

Fun fact: 'Serving' started out as an AzaYu romance fic. Probably not hard to see, based on the first few chapters.

Yaaay! And, if I may also ask, what parts of my fic do you like/dislike the most?

I like your descriptions of Kakashi best. When you get inside his head and mention what he's thinking. It's a really cool perspective because it's done so rarely in the manga/anime. You keep it in character, too, which I really like.

No, not in particular. Although almost NO Yamato! ;o Naw, I'm playing. But in seriousness, I really love your fic, and I can't really find anything negative to say about it. It's very well done.

Well, that's good to know :) It's weird that there's no Yamato. Or Sai, actually. I usually have Yuji and Yamato know each other from their ANBU days. Same with Sai, usually. Huh. I made Yuji into a goth-ish loner masochist with a few sadistic tendencies but a good heart while being suckish in the romance department... wow. He's a walking contradiction! lol.

How would you describe Hisako?

She loves to help. She's a great listener, but hates talking about herself. She usually doesn't let what other people think bother her, but it does more often than she'd like, and she's not one to show when she's suffering. She never really had much luck in the love department either, because she was too "average," and girls like Ino and Sakura took the spotlight. She tries not to let this bother her either, focusing on training instead of socializing.

She's kind of on the outside looking in most of the time. She doesn't really have any close friends except for Sakura, and I'll talk more about that later on in my fic.

That just reaffirms my belief that she's a great character. Defintely rare to have one so indepth and believable. Her resilence is one of my favorite traits.

Oh, I thought you might get a kick out of this. It's an older fic I did, and I wrote it in a slightly different style than I use now, but it's got a mix of sweet and ecchi in it that reminded me of that fic you linked to me.

Yes! I love that show. McGee and Ziva are my faves.

Oh, the above fic btw, it's a horrid cliche on just about any romance manga. It's so...lame in retrospect. lol.

My fave is probably Abby. My favorite male character changes with the episodes, but McGee is always up there.

The reason I mention it is because I got this cool, vivid image of Sakura cosplaying as Abby.

I love Abby, too. And that would be hot, I'm sure! I doubt Yuji'd mind at all.

I've got to attempt to draw that sometime. It just popped into my head randomly. Probably because of Sakura's boots, and I just watched that NCIS episode where Abby sulks half the episode because she's too tall for her newest bf.

That was one of my favorite episodes ^^ I've been Gibbs-slapping people lately, usually accompanied with a 'DiNozzo!'. Lol, it didn't take long for my parents to get tired of it, but they tolerate because they're both big fans, too.

I think you may have some sadistic tendencies, yes! But don't underestimate yourself. I personally am a sucker for the tenderhearted sweet guys like Yuji. Guys like Sasuke... well not Sasuke. His type is annoying. xD

Really? Huh, cool. People usually think that Yuji is me (only parts. Believe me, he's way cooler than me!), and so I get a masochist brand.
Yuji's type is rare. I can't stand Sasuke. Although I dislike Neji more.

I kinda like Neji, when he's not being mean to Hinata. He's quiet, but cool. Sasuke's okay when he's not all "revenge i need to be stronger rawr."

I was a huge Lee fan (still am) and I never liked how Neji treated him. Not to mention the way Tenten adores him, and he's like 'pff. whatever'.
I like Shino, too. He's underrated.

I loved that one filler ep in part 1 with Naruto and Shino where naruto can't laugh at ALL. That was one of the funnier ones.

That really was funny. I liked Shino's match vs. Zaku, too. That was one of my favorite chunin exam matches

I looooove Lee. And yes, that was epic. Shino should get more fillers. Definitely. I think we need more Hinata fillers, too. Like, just about her, rather than her whole team.
