I think it was because you focused on the attackers so well. You made them seem like the slimeballs they were supposed to be, rather than have them make comments about Hisako's body.

That's just my opinion, but I think that's why it worked so well. It didn't feel blunted, like you were holding description back because you didn't want to say too much (I have a tendency to fall into that). You said the right amount of the right stuff.

Not much. I've kept putting off working on my Valentine's Day drawing for nextguardian's oc, so I need to start working on that tomorrow. And I'm playing out possible scenarios for my next chapter in my fanfic.

Thanks :) Well, she relaxed at the end, mercifully. The poor thing was shaking and miserable. She had almost her whole family there (well, people, anyway), and was pretty content. I couldn't have asked for more at that point. Aside from maybe about 60 more healthy years for her. Oh well. It's a shame that animals don't have the lifespans that people do.

I know, I wish dogs lived as long as we did. My dog died much the same way. It's hard. She lived a good life, and that's all I could really ask. I really empathize with you, though. It sucks.

lol, poor Yuji. But- the big question- what if Sakura was all for it? Then how would Hisako react? I get a vivid image of her holding Yuji by the neck and warning him that 'if he ever made her cry, I'll make sure you suffer in the worst imaginable way- and then I'll make it worse!'.

I'm really so sorry. we had to put one of my dogs down about 3 years ago. she was 14. I had known her my entire life. it was hard.

I know why you didn't get my comment... I didn't hit "submit."

This gave me the idea that she could do that, but also where a small film of water covers her whole body and if she even manages to brush against the enemy (any sort of physical contact at all) she can spread it across to them- kind of like a Water-style adaptation of Shikamaru's Shadow Possession Jutsu. This is for team settings. The film that covers her whole body can also become really dense, slowing down her movements a bit, but absorbing physical attacks.

I'm also thinking about having her be able to turn the oxygen around her and her opponent into water, but i'm still trying to work out how that would be plausible. Since it's rearranging things atomically, it would definitely be a HUGE chakra consumer.

Oh, that's cool! I like that. I could definitely see that working out nicely.

Well, there are a couple ways around that. Yuji's method is to use chakra enhancers in the form of cigarettes, for example. The other option I can think of is to explain the jutsu as using the already existing oxygen as a 'catalyst'. Basically, at one point you have Hisako say "This would cost me a ton of chakra normally, but if I use the oxygen in the air, it's a simple matter to convert it into water!"

Good point, but... where would the hydrogen come from?

Maybe you could use the already existing moisture in the ground and trees for that. Like Gaara could make more sand from the ground against Kimimaro.

I think it makes sense, given what I know about the Naruto world. I think it fits Hisako. So I would have to say it's a good idea. Especially because it's really flexible and has easily visible upsides and downsides to it.

That's a good idea. In the laws of the Naruto universe (I'm guess here), it uses less chakra to multiplying something already existing than 'summoning' it, so to speak.

Yeah. I actually got the idea from The Last Airbender, where Katara the waterbender has that flask of water that she can uncork and use.

I should have known you were a Last Airbender fan. You're too awesome not to be! Man, the cartoon style still gets me. It was the best mix of anime and American-style animation I've ever seen. It's an awesome idea for Hisako, too.
