Everyone, it is my turn to take leave of Fanart Central.
College has become too hectic now that I am entering my senior year. I am also in the premedical track, so the tasks will only build up! Do you know how long I have been on FAC? 6 years. That makes me all the more reluctant to go, but I must go. I am not cutting ties; I am letting them fall, and if any of you guys find me again someway somehow, I will surely pick them up again. However, for now, let me get adjusted to simply concentrating on my own life as a regular artist and student.
It was fantastic getting to know all of you. I faved, commented, complimented, critiqued, argued, and laughed with too many of you to count. I started as a total noob and finished as a site helper. I did what I could in my time here - it was tedious, but I was proud of it. Do not ever ever stop drawing, guys! You know what you guys have, every single one of you, is special. Never let it go.

I have a little problem with uploading my pictures. Basically I fill everything out and click "submit", but then it stays on "Waiting for www.fanart-central.net to respond". And it stays like that for an hour until it pops up that the server isn't responding.The picture is not larger than 1200pixels in any angle, it's a PNG on 1,37MB. I wanted to add it through picture or animation from my computer. I would add it in Miscellaneous->Characters->Male.
Do you know what the problem could be? I haven't uploaded anything in some time, hopefully that's not the problem.

According to your actions and categories chosen, there should not be a problem. Attempt submitting it tomorrow. Sometimes the server does some crazy stuff (my guess is the webmaster is doing some experiments). Alright. I have a few suspicions that it may also be my own connection, this company we get the connection from has some really shootty boxes around that get water leaks and shoot, the internet can be really unreliable. But sine I have no problems with other pages or other programs using connections, I'm not sure.I'll try again later.

As a new user, FAC wants to make sure you know the submitting restrictions/rules early (image size, no porn, etc). Thus, your early pictures will be sent to the approval staff (I am apart of it) where we process your work and give you feedback if your picture breaks some rules. If you continuously submit unrejected pictures, you will sooner or later get "auto-approve" where you did not have to wait until your picture pops up. That will be later though. Ask if you have any more questions!

You mean you were annoyed of waiting because it got rejected for size? Unless the picture is a decent pixel size (around 800 px width), other users will have to scroll around the page to see your whole picture. Making sure you have the right sized picture before it is submitted into the database is better in the long run for you.papiocutie on January 26, 2012, 3:57:55 AM
