dude, legion is dc. and yeah, most of brainy's old outfits were spectacularly crap, but we must deal. try the legion revamp from 02/03, its splendiferous. and brin looks really, really hot in a leather jacket XD
plus, brainy goes psycho in the last four issues, and that's always fun.

okay, in the most recent revamp (aka supergirl and the legion of superheroes who do super stuff. ick.), dream girl dies after she jokingly predicts that she and brainy will get married...and he believes her. so brainy goes all scitzoid trying to bring her back to life while the ghost of nura nal (dreamer)sort of eggs him on. though, i refused to read the latest revamp, 'cause i hates supergirl. and as for brin...in the 02/03 revamp, he's originally a gang boy from rimbor (just like jo nah, ultra boy. they're on different sides, though. wolfpack and emerald dragon), but then he meets up with apparition (tinya wazzo, aka phantom girl), who is both ultra boy's wife and really, really pregnant. she has her baby, and he takes her back to the legion, where he is invited to join. his first mission leaves him really bloody and hot looking, and thus ends the life of his first leather jacket, but he gets another one.
at the end of the series, he looks really old, even though only about a year has passed in the world. maybe its 'cause the changed artists halfway through the series. but thats just about everything you need to know.
