Hello there,
If you have stumbled across this art profile, it means that you have embarked into the crazy mind of Avali (Jai Wo)!!! I'm not sure if this is a good thing or a bad thing, but I once learned from a good friend that you should never start a sketch book or online gallery without an Artist Statement- something profound and distinct that you want viewers to know about your artwork. So in respect to you, me, and this online gallery, I will do just that!
When it comes to personality, I like to stay positive, up beat,sunshine-happy, and inspiring which is often portrayed in my artwork. Color is the pinnacle of most of my works, but my style mainly evolves around whimsical designs that are also a fettish of mine. Through my artwork (or messy random sketches), I try to explore different nationalities and cultures with a brightness and excitement of learning. And I like to give a feeling through my style that hopefully encourages my viewers to stop and think about the world around them a little bit differently.
Even though most of my stuff is sketchy and random gibberish, I truly hope that you draw a sense of inspiration or postiveness from my gallery, and feel happy and beautiful for yourself. It may sound cheesy, but if my artwork can brighten someone else's day, that gives me all the more reason to continue what I'm doing.
I don't know if I've given this artist statement justice, but I hope you enjoy my gallery!

Okay, so I know I just got around to updating and everything. I even revamped my profile page. But unfortunately, I wont be here as an active FAC member any longer. I plan on having this profile up for a while, and I may upload things from time to time, but I recently updated myself to a DeviantART gallery. I really wanted to start fresh with a new gallery so that I can continue to grow and develop my work, but its difficult to do that when there's two galleries, a website, and photobucket gallery to keep up with. So to condense my internet niche, I'm announcing that I am leaving FAC.
I want to thank all of the friends and views who took time to view my work and give their consent. Without you, I wouldn't have gotten this far. If you would like to see more of my new work, simply go to my website. (I'll be posting there quite a lot.) And I'll be putting a link to my DA page here soon.
Again. Thank you so much FAC. I wouldn't have strived to come this far if I hadn't started this profile three years ago. Thank you everybody!

i'd just like to thank you for the coments^^ now for the grass on my landscape, you have photoshop right? well depending on what version you got, e.g. 0.7, 0.8 cs1, sc2, sc3. in the paintbrush list there should be a grass shaped ne about 3 quarters of the way down. i know it's on cs2 coz that what i have. but i don't know about any of the others.bruffleshnif on June 8, 2007, 6:07:30 AM

heh, my art project was due last week, but then it got called off because the day got used for a field trip, so I never got to present it, still, I had fun doing that, and I'm going to keep the picture.My weekend will be pretty crowded..I'm working the hell shift on saturday, so my whole day is basically gone and I will be back home depressed and mad because Josie will most likely find something to say to me. After that, on sunday we are having guests over, I have to spend the day cooking...I like cooking though, so there is a bright side to all of that ^_^
Now what's this I hear about major news ? Does it involve cookies or weapons of mass destruction ? ( I could use both of those on saturday ... >.>)

^_____^ *super hug* yesh. Now here's something cool: Have you noticed that I'm taking over your profile ? No really, my messages are everywhere 0.0 it's the same thing on my profile, Avali rules the message spot XDI just came back from this martial arts course. It was really fun. Today we were allowed to participate as a sort of trial and I think I'm going to join them. Until now, I never really found a sport I adored. I liked some, but I didn't want to give up time to practice those. But this is amazing, it's so much fun and you also learn useful self defence !

Yeah. It's just that she always comes up with all these reasons why I should give up being a vegetarian. She keeps saying that god meant for us to eat meat, and that's true, but he never mean for us to kill them in such horrible ways. There are a lot of farms out there who give humane treatment to the animals, but people just ignore them because that makes the meat cost more. So yeh, I understand how you feel, especially since my mother thinks that my drawings look like deformed monkeys >.<
I have this candle though, that says " Strenght of heart to do what is difficult " I like that, it's helpful..

Don't let your mother bring you down. So maybe it'll just be a hobby, maybe it'll be an amazing success, but if it makes you happy, that shouldn't matter and you should do it anyway. Soul food. -wink-

It's...somewhat okay >.>I envy you, really. Driving sounds like so much fun. I can onlt start with the whole drivers ed thing in september the earliest :'| And I only end school in about three weeks ! THREE WEEKS ! I can't take it anymore >.> Our school ends late and starts early, isn't that just so unfair ?

I feel so..overwhelmed right now, theres school, and work, and then things that I wanted to do but never got to. I haven't worked on my art in ages. And I feel like I'm about to fall asleep any minute now ...Also, I'm starving, and I got another huge lecture from my mom, who thinks me being a vegetarian is stupid. GAH *throws tomato at random person*

heh, Kiss and Control, AFI, I couldn't help it, those songs have very good lyrics. I started my picture now, it looks really wierd since the person is so anime like, but meh, no one said it HAD to be realistic, so blah. Me is quite sleep deprived right about now. But theres something happy making coming up ! Now, I've always wanted to play the guitar, but no one ever wanted to teach me. Now, I have the best teacher and I think I'll do okay, so I'm really excited for our first lesson on thursday. And ! I've always wanted to learn some sort of self defence. I don't want to rely on anyone for my life geez, what if I just get attacked by some random drunk dude, I should at least know how to kick >> sooo, I might be taking Shaolin Kempo which is this combination of a lot of martial arts. I went to a training session for something similar and I actually did pretty good. Ugh, things never get done around here, I have today and tomorrow to do this music project that consists of me painting a picture to a song. I picked my song and have a couple of ideas for it, but I just suck at drawing them SO much. It's depressing. I'm trying to do it but I've only come up with a couple of failed attempts so far. I don't know what I'm going to do if I don't finish this. Right now I'm on the net looking for reference pics because I couldn't draw humans realistically if my life depended on it. *stabs herself* *again*

Oh I have so much experience with those darn wands >.> I feel your pain..The day off was great, I slept in till twelve X) The weather there was fine, though it was always so darn warm..we were all shorts and tank-tops and the other people there ( who weren't accustomed to the canadian cold) were all sweateres and jackets XD
I think it's good to have those videos though, they are depressing, but come on, after watching them not many people want to go get drunk and drive...
Oh, and I know this is off topic, but wherenever I click my mouse there's this glitch that makes the computer think I did a double click...but I didn't 0.0 it's so annoying, windows opening twice, instead of going from play to pause it goes play pause play *stabs herself*
