His eyes then shot open as he realised what he had done but he realised that Clover wasn't rejectin the hug so he closed his eyes once again and let her warm aroma surround him.

Heh that's true! You should have seen the death glare he gave me!" ina giggled whilst picking up some mugs and examining them.

(Hmmm, maybe they could have been friends at the start of the story and then the year later when Clover meets Shadow again, he realises how beautiful she's got so they spend a l;ot of time together which in time leads to Shadow confessing his love to her. ^^)
