What is FAC's main way of doing it?

I can assume the main attracting element of RP is that both people have the chance to build a story with their own creativity- and with friends. I wonder if people have created published novels from RPing.

My friend Staph is attempting to teach me to write better. I was beginning to see role-playing as an interesting practice.

How come there are some people that get really professional and intense about roleplaying? If it is for fun, why is it that some people want a role-player at "their level?"" Level would imply writing abilities or plain commitment to the roleplaying? Perhaps both?
